Spence Fence does many different styles of ornamental iron fencing. We produce wood fencing for most major homebuilders from Tulare, Kings, and Fresno counties to Paso Robles. We also do specialty jobs such as The College of the Sequoias' ballfield, which you can see when driving down Route 198 in Visalia. Chain link fencing is done for residential and commercial properties and we make our own chain link gates in our in-house welding shop.
When you need new fencing, call Spence Fence and we will do our best to serve your needs.
Bob Spence started Spence Fence in 1977 with no known name, no contractor’s license and no insurance. (Things were different back then.)
Bob Lincicum, who owned Silverado Construction in Visalia, let Bob Spence install fence for his small construction company. The superintendent at the time, Mike Carrol of Hanford, said to Bob, "When you get your license, you should call your company Spence Fence." We laughed but thought it was a good idea.
In June, 1981, Spence Fence was licensed by the state of California with a C13 contractor's license. The company was incorporated in 1999. Yearly sales increased, more employees were hired and trained to do expert work and today, the company offers a range of fencing options and is well known all over the San Joaquin Valley.
